Backup & Recovery window consolidating monthly incrementals
At the start of each month I start a new series of incremental backups. The remaining weeks of the month I generate incremental files.
Looking at the backup drive I can see the first backup each month is significantly larger than the incremental files, so these must be full backups.
However the File & Backup window consolidates all the last few months backups into the ltest file.
In May the files were all against the May backup. Now in June they are all against the June backup and it says the May, April and March entries have not been backed up yet.
I must be doing something wring, but can't work out what.
I can only assume it must be something to do with the way I am generating the new files.
Anybody any ideas?

Can give that a go. Just can't work out why it's consolidating the last four month's of backups on the latest full.
I am creating the full backup with an incremental back up scheme.
Position at the moment is that my backup 20120608 is showing 17 backups and I have backups for 20120301, 20120405 & 20120503 all showing not backed up yet.
The position at the end of May was that 210120503 would have been showing 15 backups with 20120301 & 20120405 showing not backed up yet.
Is this happening because of the way I create the backup at the start of the month by creating a new back up name?

Most likely. If you change the name of the task, or if you create a new taks with the same content to the same directory, ATI becomes confused.
Have you backup names end with a character like "_" or "-", but not with a digit (even if the digit is added by a built in tag like %date%).

No "-" or "_" in the file name. The June full back up is 20120608.tib
All I want to do is create a new incremental set every month. Full backup at the start of the month and incrementals for the rest of the month. Next month, do the same. etc. Can't see why ATI should get confused. To my mind, this is as simple as it gets. Worked OK until February and then started to go wrong.
I did have a new My Backups entry appear and made the mistake of deleting it so I have lost the last month or two of backups. At least the new backup has created a new entry and not consolidated any of the previous ones. Time will tell whether it has resolved the issue or not.

You should finish your backup name files with a character other than a digit.

Hi Pat.
Apologies for the very belated feedback.
Changing the file name so it doesn't end in a digit has fixed the problem.
Thought it worth reporting back as it might prove useful for other ATIH 2012 users
