Problem with setting F11 Recovery manager

I am having a problem setting the Acronis Recovery Manager (ARM) and the F11 key. I had problems with this on my initial installation of ATIH12 but that was solved by booting from the Acronis bootable recovery disk and setting the ARM/F11 from there.

Since that time, all has been well but I have recently needed to have my system re-installed. Following this, I have re-installed Acronis TIH2012 and the backup system appears to be working as expected. However, I then attempted to activate the ARM F11 key as suggested previously by booting form a bootable disk (I had created a new one from the new system), opening the 'Tools and Utilities' menu and then trying to set the ARM. At this point I received an error as shown in the attached screen-shot.

I do not understand just what is that is causing the error and would be grateful for help in resolving this problem.

I don't have the solution for your problem. When activating/deactivating the ASRM doesn't work from ATI in Windows or from the recovery CD, you would need Acronis support to figure this one out.

My point was rather to remind you that you shouldn't rely on the ASRM to restore your backups. If your disk dies, you are out of luck. You absolutely need to test your bootable CD/flash drive, and restore a couple of files from your backup.

You also need to make sure that your backup contains all the partitions on the system disk, including any partition that doesn't show up in Windows explorer, but that you could see in ATI or in Window disk management (right click on the computer icon on your destkop, choose manage, storage, disk management).
