TI 2010 BSOD in nvlddmkm.sys on Windows 7 64-bit RTM
I'm experiencing a blue screen on Windows 7 64-bit RTM when I run a backup task. The blue screen reports that the problem is occurring in the nVidia driver, nvlddmkm.sys.
I'm not here to bad-mouth Acronis, because I can imagine how complex it is to make software that works smoothly on every possible configuration. However, I'd like to know:
- Has anyone else had the same issue?
- Is my previous version of TI compatible with Windows 7?
- Any suggestions on the driver issue? (The Web is full of wild and colorful comments on nvlddmkm.sys. I'm hoping for something that doesn't involve voodoo.)

On my wife's new ASUS N51Vn, I am getting similar errors from the same driver name under Windows Vista, just running the Windows Experience Level benchmark, ie - NOT running TrueImage. Vista keeps telling me that the NVIDIA display driver halted, and was restarted. I also got Blue Screen of Death several times. In my case, it appears to have been a flaky NVIDIA 240M. In any case, I've just returned the laptop to ASUS for repair. They seem to have good support policies.
Note that NVIDIA itself can't seem to get their device drivers right. NVIDIA drivers responsible for nearly 30% of Vista crashes

My first WinXP machine crashed a lot, and the Microsoft crash analysis always pointed to the Nvidia display driver. Later, Nvidia
released updated drivers which stopped the crashing.

I use NVIDIA drivers, there is a W7 Microsoft 'optional' upgrade for NVIDIA. The drivers are dated September 2009.
It appeared in the MS Update list yesterday .

I tried the W7 Microsoft 'optional' NVIDIA driver upgrade as well. Tried the one that came on the driver disk with her computer, tried the VGA driver from the ASUS website, and used their recovery software to return the hard disk to their 'as shipped' condition multiple times.
Once, restoring the hard disk to 'as shipped' condition made the NVIDIA driver work, until I removed Norton Internet Security, and the Google Toolbar. Then, I started getting the driver errors again.
I restored the hard disk to 'as shipped' condition again, using the ASUS F9 recovery tool, the driver gave me errors from the getgo.

I had exactly the same issue as Tim. I got a BSOD on Windows 7 x64 with build 6029 of TI 2010 as well. Mine actually happened during the process of upgrading from build 5055 to 6029.
I don't know what driver caused the crash in my system because unfortunately, the crash rendered it unbootable. I abandoned the new build and reverted to build 5055 which seems to be running OK.

I thought that I should come back here to acknowledge that my BSOD issue was NOT an Acronis True Image Home 2010 problem.
I tried Windows Backup instead, and also got a blue screen that blamed the same driver, at the point where it began writing files to my USB driver. So I have an issue with either the USB driver, or the nVidia driver. But not TIH.

I have a GeForce 9800 GX2 and I used to get the same nvlddmkm.sys message a while ago which only occurred while playing games, nothing I read through googling helped. I believe it's a graphics driver problem as I haven't had it in a while, there have been perhaps 3 driver updates from I experienced it. I believe it's not just related to NVIDIA as some ATI RADION users also suffer from the same problem.
I've never had a BSOD, just a warning message at the bottom right stating the driver crashed and recovered. The games usually kept running but the graphics tended to be corrupted in one form or another. If you type nvlddmkm.sys into googles search bar you'll find a lot of posts about it.

The nvidia drivers that ship with Windows are WDDM drivers; that driver is on the system but "nVidia Driver Helper Service" is not present. I've read it can be safely disabled (see here: http://www.tweakguides.com/NVFORCE_4.html ) as can other services. Perhaps this would help.
