Critical problem with a 64bit machine with Windows 7 - Acronis Managed Machine Service not available

Hello, I have a problem with Acronis Backup & Recovery software on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

When I start Windows, I get this error: "Acronis Managed Machine Service not available" and the software is totally unusuable and I can't restore the archives.

When I start the software this message appears:

What can I do? I can't find any useful informtion in the Acronis KB.

Unfortunately it's hard to say what exactly went wrong due to the lack of diagnostic information. So this situation requires investigation. Could you please gather the following information:

  1. Exact sequence of steps of actions performed during the installation
  2. Screenshot of the error
  3. Acronis Info
  4. Whether you've tried to start the service manually and what was the result
  5. Event Logs (Start -> Run -> eventvwr.msc)

It looks like password for user Giacomo was changed, but it service properties it remained unchanged and thus service fails to start. Go to "Managed Machine Service"* service properties, 'logon' tab and specify current password for this user.

* - may be localized i.e. translated.
