Sync fails between PC and NAS

Thread needs solution

I set up sync between a folder on my PC and my NAS. ATIH churns on it and shows the job but ultimately fails to sync the folders. Has anyone successfully sync folders between their PC and their NAS with ATIH 2012? I should mention the log states the feed cannot be found. I'm uncertain what that means though. I'm also not able to delete the sync job and re-create it. Maybe that's normal, but again I'm not sure. I should mention I'm running Vista if that matters?

Thanks!

Hello Jerry,

Thank you for using Acronis software.

this issue is related to malfunction of Acronis True Image Home 2012 and can be resolve by repairing its installation or just installing the latest build of the product. See this article for further instructions.

If there is anything else i can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you, have a good day.

Miguel, installing the latest build was one of the first things I did when attempting to fix the issue. I went from build 6131 to 7133 and saw no change. I utlimately uninstalled ATIH 2012 and re-installed it which almost completely fix the issue. However, @ 99.28% of the sync process an error popped up saying Acronis True Image Home has stopped working. I checked the source and destination folders and all the files seem to be there except the hidden files which ATIH skips. I guess that's normal? In any event, I like to say it's succesful but I'm not 100% convinced given the sync process never completed to a 100%. However, the 99.28% may be all the files excpet the hidden files which are skip so maybe it did work as it should.

Thoughts?

I uploaded a screen shot of the error and sync progress % if that helps?

Jerry,

Try this:
- launch msconfig; in the startup tab, uncheck "hide Microsoft services", click on select all, check "hide Microsoft services", click on unselect all. Go to the startup tab, unselect all,
- uninstall ATI 2012,
- reboot,
- reinstall ATI 2012
- run the Sync again. If it works, we know your issue is about some conflict with other software (maybe security software). If it doesn't work, well, we made no progress...
- after your trial, run msconfig, and on the first tab, choose Normal Startup

Pat,

I think I'm good at this point. I'm now receiving 100% confirmation on sync between the two folders. I also see pop-ups on the lower right informing me of folder/files added. I'm not too worried about the hidden files as those are created by window views and Google Picasa. I attached a few more screen shots for giggles that may help others. I should mention that the folder I'm syncing is large at 215GB, but I wouldn't think that's an issue.

Thanks,

-Jerry
