Incremental Backup is not continued

Thread needs solution

I create an incremental backup called "backup" . This backup is scheduled weekly.
The parts of the backup in the directory are backup.tib, backup2.tib, ..., backup12.tib.
This is ok.
Last week ATI 2012 creates a complete backup "backup122.tib".
I expected an incremental backup "backup13.tib".
Today ATI creates an incremental backup "backup123.tib" for backup122.tib.

Why ATI does not proceed with the first backup?

Bernhard, do you have any cleanup/consolidation rules in place, or was this set to do incremental backups forever?
Also, what build of ATIH 2012 are you running?

Hello James,

I use Build-Nr.7133 and have no cleanup/consolidation rules in place. The incremental backups runs every week on saturday.
Is this only a naming problem?

Looks like Acronis somehow thought the full backup didn't exist, and created a new full and then started with incrementals again. You may want to create a new task. I would suggest that when you create a new task that you start with a empty destination folder for your new backup files. After you have your first new full backup, you could then keep or delete your old backups. Please have a look at this excellent guide provided by GroverH (Thanks Grover) : http://forum.acronis.com/forum/28705. It is very helpful.
