What do I do after it opens the menu from the recovery DVD?
Hi
I downloaded the trial of version 10.
I created a backup and then made a boot disk.
When I boot to the disk I get a screen but I don't have a workable mouse, just a non moving pointer on the screen.
It doesn't seem to respond to my key board either.
What is supposed to happen? The instructions for the recovery process are almost non existent.
I want to make sure this really works before I buy it.
The other thing I would like to know is how do I recover files from my backup if I just want to access them one at a time? Not a full recovery. I don't see any option to do this.
I have always used Norton Ghost in the past but they don't seem to have anything that works with Windows 7.
Thanks for the help.
Mike

Thanks I'll check it out!
I looked just the other day and didn't see that.

There are some workarounds when your mouse or keyboard doesn't work but I didn't pay attention to them, I just know that you are not the first to report this. If you use the USB or wireless types, try the PS2 types if you have them.
You can recover individual files only from in Windows ... you treat the Backup file like a folder in Windows Explorer. Keep double clicking until you find your file/folder you need.
