Large backup

I have a macbook pro with bootcamp. The drive is partitioned so that the PC side has 20Gb.
When I did my first backup (to another drive) , the backup was 80gB.
How can that be when the drive is only 20gB????

What version and build number did you use? Are you sure the Backup is not of the entire drive? How much is the used space of the entire drive?

I have acronis true image home 2010 (build 6,029).

I created an acronis backup archive that ended up being 84,037,566kB

capacity for the disk on PC side is 20.5GB, the mac side is about 100GB , but the PC side shouldn't be seeing the mac side.
This morning I checked the software and got a warning about "dynamic disk" (which I didn't get before). Did it save 4 times like a mirror effect?

I'm going to surmise that it backed up the Lacie drive because it didn't recognise the C drive because it is a dynamic drive.correct ?
