2013 post installation problems

Thread needs solution

Firstly I cannot personalise any of my settings. The instructions in the user help manual for turning off non-stop backup just do not work. There is supposed to be a cog wheel visible in the non-stop backup box which is just not there. Indeed is the screenshot of the box in the manual there is no cogwheel, only a help question mark and backup options. So help please!

Secondly, I inadvertently subscribed to sync with cloud and now have a one month free account which I do not want or need. The email gives a link to allow changes including unsubscribe. The only options are change from monthly to annual, no unsubscribe option. If I have to wait until my free unwanted month expires before I can unsubscribe, then please indicate!

Thirdly, as with another posting, my system is now incredibly unstable after installation. At boot up I now get either a BSOD, and boot up repair needed, or asked whether I want a system restore or start windows normally.

Any and all help gratefully received.

Clive,
I would uninstall 2013 using the "Add or Remove a Program" feature in Windows. Then download and run the 2013 cleanup utility found here http://kb.acronis.com/content/34876. This will remove the non-stop backup and any syncs that have appeared in your installed copy of True Image 2013. After verifiying that your system is once again stable, you can try another install of 2013 and see if you get better results. If you are running Windows 7, you should open you user profile temp folder and delete its contents before trying the new install. You can do this by clicking Start, and typing %temp% in the search box and pressing enter. You will see a lot of files and folders, delete everything you can, and then close the window and try the 2013 install again. If you are not going to use Online Backup or Sync, do not sign in to your Acronis account from within the 2013 program after re-installing. This will keep the online sync feature from activating. This also will not allow you to use Sync or Online Backup in the application. The services that run in the background for Non-Stop backup and Sync service can be disbled in the Windows Service Manager after install, if you don't need to use them. The free one month subscription to the online backup service can not be cancelled, but you also don't have to use it. Be sure to check and make sure you do not have auto renewal turned on. You can do that from your online Acronis account. If it is not set up for auto-renewal, it will just expire after the thirty day free trial suscription runs out. See the attaced screen capture.
