Cloning dual boot on dual HDs to new HD

Thread needs solution

Cloning dual boot on dual disk?
Could only clone one HD and can't even copy, much less clone, 2nd HD to 2nd partition. The new sata HD boots just fine but I had to keep my old "D" HD installed. Everything I've tried isn't allowed. Can this be done?

Thanks!

Hmmm, after thinking about it some more perhaps it would be possible to do a backup and then restore to the 2nd partition on the new HD? Might just go try this and will let you know how it works, or not!

Is there any unallocated space on the new "single" drive? If so, you should be able to use DD to copy the partition from the "D" drive to the unallocated space on the "single" drive.

If you don't have any unallocated space, you would need to use DD to resize the existing partition smaller.
