Trouble since manually deleted backup versions

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I purchased Acronis True Image Home 2012 over a month ago and had gotten it working for disk backup fairly smoothly until I decided to manually delete some of the older backup versions to save space. Didn't realize at the time what a bad move that was.

Anyway, the backup continued to work but was a bit flakey, particularly with the backup version numbering, which seemed to become sort of random. So eventually I used True Image Home to just delete all the previous backup versions and start over with a full backup, but that did not seem to help, and in fact now it won't run the incremental backups at the scheduled times.

Would it be best at this point to just uninstall and reinstall the tool? I don't have much time to debug this and need to get it working. Naturally all this happened just after the 30-day support expiration.

Thanks,

Cathy

Did you create a new task? You should create a new task if you did not. Create a new empty folder for the destination of your new task, and start again with a new backup routine. If that fails, then you could run the 2012 installation and perform a repair installation before going the un-install / re-install route.
