Recover 2012 image without product
I need to restore an image, but I cannot find my ATIH 2012 box. Is there a way to recover it without it? I have 2009 and v11.
Also, after registering in the past, I have had my product go into my account here with product code and the ability to download newer versions/ updates. But my 2012 isn't listed at all for some reason.
Let me know how I can recover this if at all possible.

OK, if I install 2013 trial then I can recover plus make a bootable rescue CD?
Will 2013 work in win8 or do I need a win7 install?
Once I restore my 2012 boot image is there a way to register it or recover my keys?
I bought this from newegg. It was the plus version if I recall correctly. I don't think I installed the plus part as it was an extra key and didn't need it at the time. but if I can at least get the 2012 registered I'd be a happy camper.
Thanks for your help

Mark,
As Grover pointed out, you do not need to install the 2013 trial to create a bootable CD. You can download the bootable CD ISO from the Acronis website after registering your 2013 trial serial number. You would burn the ISO to a CD or DVD. Once you restore your image that contains 2012 installed. You can open 2012 and click the help button (?) and select "About Acronis True Image" and it will display your 2012 serial number that you can then register in your Acronis account.

Many users of Win8 are using the 2013 version. Some have issues while others do not. TI will support the official Win8 release.

I got 2013 installed and tried to restore the image, but it kept only restoring 1 partition. Then I created a rescue CD and still it only wanted to restore 1 partition at a time. I then tried restoring all partitions one at a time, but it made them all drive and wouldn't boot. Then I tried to use the win7 install disk and the repair my computer option and it fixed the partition info.
Not used to this new interface, so maybe I configured improperly or maybe it needs more debugging for win 8. I use the win8 enterprise trial version which is suppose to be final RTM.
I was able to retrieve the keys. I did activate both of them originally and now they are both registered on the site.
Many thanks for everyone's help

Mark,
Look at items 1, 2, 3 at this link. Maybe the info there could be helpful.
Using the Bootable media option for recovery is the easiest method for a successful restore.
Yes, sometimes a Windows repair is necessary to get a new restore to boot.
Having a backup which is a full and complete backup of all partitions makes for the best chance of a good restore with fewer issues.
If you do decide to upgrade to 2013, do take the time to do a complete full backup of your system before attempting the upgrade.
My suggestion would be to do a full uninstall and cleanup of 2012 before attempting to install 2013. This is not required by Acronis but is my recommendation based on some of the install issues posted on the forum.
If you have the 2013 trial version installed, you can purchase the 2013 licenses and simply insert the license into the trial before the 30 day trial period elapses.
