Acronis Back up and recovery
Hi,
i am currently using true image home to create backup for our machines,
recently we installed a new terminal server which the users have switch to using as a complete desktop solution.
unfortunately since its server 2008 terminal server, the backup is a headache. tried various programs but none are as good as backup and recovery,
unfortunately its making huge backups for the whole machine.
i only need to backup users profiles. since a similar system is available for backup.
incase the terminal server dies i simply restore the profiles to another machine?
can i do this?
thanks!

Hello Khan Abid,
Thank you for testing Acronis software.
When installing Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 or 11.5 on a Windows Terminal Server, you should only install it for the current user to prevent of starting the Acronis services for every terminal session on this server.
If you want to perform a disk or partition backup from the complete server, also the stored data of the terminal sessions are backed up. If you only want to back up data of the terminal sessions, you should perform file- /folder- backups from the place, where your terminal sessions are stored.
Please remember, that Acronis build up backup software to backup and restore complete servers. When only using the user profiles, other personal information will be lost.
I hope, my information is helpful for you.
Let me know if you need additional help please.
Thank you.
