Acronis True Image Home 2009 Summmary details incorrect
Hi
I am using Acronis 2009 Home edition and have successfully backed up my data files which are stored in a RAID array. I have used Update Backup to add incremental backups to the full backup with no problems. My backups are made over a home network to another PC.
I have created a new backup job to backup my system and programs which are on a non RAID hard drive, Drive C. I have had a couple of warnning about impending failure of the C drive, listed as a SMART event. This job completed successfully.
I am now attempting to make an incremental backup of the Data job. I have selected the Data backup job and also Update Backup. The Backup Wizard lists the selected job and its destination correctly. However, when I check using Summary, the details display the new backup job, which was of the system drive!
The information that Acronis displays is wrong it should display my data job. I am now stuck, is this a bug in Acronis 2009's display of information about a job which will not alter the operation to be performed: to add an incremental backup of my Data job or will it perform another incremental or full backup of the system job overwriting my Data job hard drive?

Could you post some screen shots of what you see please.
Have you updated 2009 between making the original task and this new one?
Are these partition/disk images or files and folders backups that you are trying to make?
I'm a little confused, isn't it the system drive that you are now trying to backup/image?

Hi Colin B.
Thanks. Partition/disk images. No I have backed up the system drive, I now want to update my data. I have attached two screen shots.
The All backups window first backup listed which I didn't mention was an earlier backup named systemBackup created prior to creating a RAID 1. That backup was to a hard drive in a caddy. The second backup named MyBackup (my data) was created after the the RAID 1 was created and has several incremental backups. The last backup to be created is of drive C which has the system and programs. These two backups were successful.
What I can't do now is create an incremental backup of MyBackup. Well I say can't because I am reluctant to press Proceed because when I check the Summary it refers to the 9200system backup!
Technical details:
Dell 9200 XP Pro Originally I had a RAID 0 with two hard drives. I added a third hard drive and created a RAID 1. I separated my data from the system and programs files. At present I have two backup disks on another PC on my network. These have backups of my data and the system and programs files, so I am safe. I now need to replace the system hard drive as I am getting SMART event warning s about its impending failure. The new drive has arrived so I can now take out the system drive and restore it to the new hard drive from the backup.

As I read your attachments, the Acronis 3 jpg shows that the full backup is "My Backup" (blue highlighted) and your #2 jpg shows the next tib to will be named #5.
The summary shows that the backup will involve 3 partitions and the main C partition has a volume name of
main 9200
I do not see where the summary refers to 9200 system backup. It is listed as one of the backup choices but not highlighted as being involved in your summary.

Hi GroverH,
Yes the summary refers to the C drive and main 9200 that is the system drive and it should not. Surely the summary should confirm that the backup is of MyBackup? To me Acronis is informing me that a backup of my system drive C labelled "main 9200" is about to take place and will be written to my backup of my data disk "backup 9200". If I press Proceed I think that my data drive will be overwritten with a backup of my system drive!
