Acronis True Image 2012 Hangs Up

Thread needs solution

With your help, we set up Acronis 2012 to do an incremental image of our computer's hard drive to our external drive (F:) every night at 3:00am, and once a week, on Sunday, it would do a full image. In addition, we had it set to shut down the computer upon completion.

This was working fine for a while, but now it is not. What happens now is that the computer will hang up on the Sync... giving me a Task Bar icon stating that the Sync is 0% complete. When I double-click on the icon to open Acronis, it opens, but is hung up on calculating the Sync Time. We are not paying for the online Sync, nor do we feel we need to.

How do we get Acronis working again the way we want? In other words, differential images to our F: every night at 3:00am with a computer shutdown, and then a full image every Sunday night at 3:00am, also with a full shutdown of the computer upon completion.

Please feel free to call to talk me through the necessary steps.

Hi Rob,

I browsed your log and I don't see a trace for your nightly backups any longer.

Do you Sync some folder on top of the backup task? Because these 2 things are independent. If you don't use Sync, log out from your Account from within ATI. You can also disable the Sync Agent Service in Services.msc.

Back to your backup issue, is there a chance that the computer is asleep at that time? The last backup has been done at 10:21pm on your picture. Unless you did this backup manually, it could be the case that the computer is waiting to be idle to do backups. This option can be found in the advanced settings section of the scheduler window (click on the schedule to open that window). Uncheck all options there, BTW.
