Backup file is = 3.0 Gb compared to C (OS) = 86 Gb

Thread needs solution

I backed up my C (OS) and got confirmation that the backup was sucessful but I am concerned about the size compared with the C (OS) = 86 Gb
Why such a big difference ??

You are right to be concerned. Something has gone wrong. Maybe you backed up your user files, instead of all of your system disc. Compression will reduce the size of the backup a bit but nowhere near what you are seeing.

I selected backup consists of the following: -
user/user
desktop
The whole C/drive which is 46Gb. My backup six is 10500Mb
Please help as "calculating time" for backup takes far too long.
If I dont get any help I am thinking of throwing the towel and ask for a refund.
Any help wouild be very much appreciated.

It looks like you are doing a file backup of just your user files, that is why it is so small.

You need to do a "Disc and partition backup" - a separate option in the backup menu.
