How can I really, really uninstall ATIH 2011?

Thread needs solution

I have recently installed ATIH 2011.
Now I want to uninstall it (from 64bit Win7).

When I go to Control Panel-->Programs and Features
(or use other uninstall tools).

and try to uninstall ATIH 2011 then it does not work. It starts but after a while the progress bar scrolls back and the uninstall is aborted.

Why?

Do I have to stop the services at first manually?

Peter,

Let's try this.
Launch msconfig.exe and disable all non-microsoft services and start up items, except the Acronis ones. Reboot. Reinstall ATI 2011, reboot. Try to uninstall 2011 from the control panel.

If that doesn't work, reboot, install Revo Uninstaller, and reinstall ATI 2011 while Revo is recording the install. Then uninstall it with Revo. That is your best show if the uninstaller doesn't work properly.

I uninstalled Acronis True Image Home 13 and Plus Pack thru add/remove and they both removed, however when I went to reboot system would not reboot and when trying to use Windows 7 install disk repair for startup message came up either something added or program added or deleted. I then went back to restore point just ahead of uninstalling and restored and now system works fine. Can anyone help me and give me instructions on how to uninstall and not have this problem.

Thanks

Just purchased True Image 2013 for a specific clone disk task and it failed (no wonder it is disable in the Trial ware version). Now I also want to uninstall. What is it about the ATI2013 uninstall instructions that Acronis cannot fix? Charles, has this uninstall issue been resolved?

Alan,

This forum topic was about uninstalling v2011.

The uninstall routine for True 2013 works well. I have install and removed 2013 several times on both Windows 7 and Windows 8 without any issues. If you have the Plus Pack, remove it first, then the Main program

Please take a look at the removal instructions posted here http://kb.acronis.com/content/34876.

This also links to a cleanup utility that can be used in addition to the standard removal procedure (if needed).
