True Image Home 2013 Crashes My Computer

Thread needs solution

I upgraded from 2009 three days ago. Since then my computer has crashed 6 times as a result of True Image 2013.

One time was when I just simply pushed the 'view log' button in the setting section of True Image.
Other times where during backups while I was also using the computer.
Two times when I was simply creating new folders in the 'My Documents' section.

It's never the blue screen of death, but rather a 'freeze' which leaves my computer inoperable. Forcing a power reset.

I had no problems with True Image 2009.

Suggestions?

Thanks

You should uninstall earlier versions, and use the Acronis True Image Cleanup Utility, prior to installing. I would do that now, in light of the issues you're having. If you have a full disk backup from before you installed 2013, you might want to restore that now, then uninstall 2009 and do the Cleanup steps.

Thanks,

I uninstalled 2013 with the cleanup utility, and reinstalled it afterwards. No crashes so far. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I did not have a recent backup, so I hope this did the trick.

Thanks!

True Image 2013 "is not responding" when I click the Backup button.
I have uninstalled and re-installed 6 times, then downloaded software again. Checksum utility matches number corresponding to website.
My system: Toshiba Satellite P845t-S4310, Windows 8 Pro, 6GB RAM, touch screen, pre-loaded Norton Antivirus 2013. Any help will be appreciated.
