Do I need Disk Director 11 for Windows 8?
Can someone tell me if I need Disk Director 11 for Windows 8?
Windows 8 has it's own capabilities for splitting drives
I already have Disk Director 10 - I assume this is not usable with Windows 8?
Thanks

Can I ask a followup: are there any other "can't dos" other than the above? I have DD 10 and have an oppty to buy DD 11 for cheap, but wonder what, other than W8 compatibility, might be lurking as a feature that would make a future DD 12 a "must have".
I do hate buying Acronis upgrades right before they release a better version...

I don't know what the release schedule is for the next version of DD, but suspect it is still some time off. In fact, an update to DD 11 is probably still some time off (Acronis doesn't give DD much time in the updating department).
DD 11 does have several good new features and adds quite a bit of support for newer hardware, systems, and setups. That being said, I still prefer to use DD 10 instead whenever possible.
I haven't had time or the inclination to try DD 11 and OSS with Windows 8 so I don't know for sure if it would or wouldn't work -- just that it wouldn't be officially supported if you ran into any problems.

I have a simple question and would so appreciate a simple answer. Is there any intention of upgrading dd11 to win 8? If so, when? TIA

In fact, I have very same question. Is there going to be a version of DD that supports Windows 8 any time soon?

Besides missing DD11 forWindows 8, I also have a problem with true image on win 8.1 preview edition: I keep getting told oneclickstarter is not compatible, although I did not have this issue with plain vanilla Windows 8. Incidentally, to this thread, Windows 8, despite all the buyer's remorse about it, is really great, and that coming from a longtime disgruntled microsoft user.
