Recovery finishes then reboots to nothing?
I'm using True Image WD Edition on XP Pro SP3, 1 hard disk drive only with 2 partitions ( C & D drive).
Recovering /restoring my C drive from a backup image of that C drive itself stored in my D drive.
Used the created boot CD, went through the whole recovery process. The backup image validates and finishes recovery process.
Upon reboot, I get a blank screen. Booted from the CD again to try again and this time my D drive became C drive & my C drive became unallocated.
So I keep trying and end with the same result.

Yeah it's set to primary active by default.
I've done this exact process before with success, not quite sure why its doing this now.
Only thing I can think of is on my prior attempt before this started to happen, as the recovery was finishing and went to reboot, I ejected the CD. Not sure if that had any effect?
But then this problem stated above did happen and I was able to re-do the recovery process without issues.
So I guess its doing it again now, only it keeps on doing it.

As soon as the program loads from the boot CD you can eject the CD. The program runs from RAM.
Just thinking out loud - there are a few things that you can check if you can't get the restore to complete successfully:
1. Try restoring "MBR and Track 0" from your backup in case the master boot loader on the disk was damaged.
2. Do you have a Windows XP installation disk that you can use to run chkdsk /R on the partition that you're trying to restore to?
3. Can you try downloading another copy of the program and making another CD in case yours has developed a defect?
4. Were there any hardware changes to the PC between the time that the backup was made and now?

No joy, thanks for your prompt replies.
I decided to just reinstall XP on it since C drive kept showing up as unallocated after recovery.

Just as a double check on procedures, you might look at item #3 at this link.
Your restore should mostly follow this example.

Do you have an external disk where you could copy the backup file from its current location to the external disk.
I don't know it if would matter but it is something you can try.

Yeah, I don't but I'll put it on a DVD as well.
Thanks
