Rescue Media will not detect Network Card

Thread needs solution

I have a Dell M6500 and Acronis Build 16.0.5551 of 2013 and It will not detect my network card, If I use a 2010 version of my Rescue media it will. The problem is the 2010 version won't work with my backup. What can I do?

I'm sure this is because the build of Linux is different on the 2010 and 2013 versions of the Rescue Media.
You have several choices:

1. Add a supported network adapter to the system (almost any Intel card works fine), or

2. Purchase the 2013 Plus Pack and create WinPE (Windows based) Rescue Media.

3. A long shot, and unlikely to get you any results quickly, would be to contact Acronis, and work with support to see if they can provide an updated Rescue Media ISO that can support the NIC in your system.

4. Last resort, but workable option: If you can copy the backup file from the network location to an external drive and attach it to your system, you could restore from the external drive to your system.

Do they even do that anymore? When I had a hardware-recognition issue with the 2012 Rescue Disk, Acronis told me that they no longer provide customized media.
