Disk clone - thermal temp check error

Thread needs solution

Hi There - I wonder if someone could please help, or point me in the right direction?
I have tried the online chat facility 3 times and every time I got disconnected!!
I am trying to use Acronis True Image 2013 to clone a disk.
Everything goes ok, until the system has to be restarted, to actually start the clone process.
At this stage , I get the little Acronis logo in the top left hand corner and a message that says thermal temp exceeded (73) and the system just stops.
My system has always run at 76 degress (from checking the BIOS) and it runs fine.
Is there anyway to either turn off this thermal temperature check or allow the clone process to carry on anyway?
Thanks for any assistance.

Clinton,

Don't do the clone starting ifrom Windows. Always do clones from the recovery CD. Upon completion remember to disconnect either the source or the clone before rebooting.

Hi Pat L - great, thank you for that.

I am not very familar with Treu Image yet to be hinest, so do I use the media builder facility to build a bootable CD and then boot from that and clone the disk?

Thanks & Best Regards,

Clinton

Clinton,

That is correct, use media builder to make a recovery CD, boot from that and then clone.
