[RESOLVED] override Acronis 2013 backup naming convention

Thread needs solution

As listed here http://kb.acronis.com/content/34113 and on page 40 of the user manual here http://forum.acronis.com/forum/35047 there is a new naming convention for the Acronis backup files such that if I name my backup "c-drive.tib", by default the actual file created will be named "c-drive_full_b1_s1_v1.tib".

Is there a way to override this behavior, as for me, it causes problems, is less easy to use, and I just don't like it. I know how to name the files and don't want the program doing it for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Issue resolved here.

At this time, there is no option to change this behavior in 2013, and I have not heard of any plans to make it optional.

Yes, it is a mess if you work with batch jobs and/or different USB Drives. "Clear view" is something different !!! Same problem as in the beginning of Backup and Recovery 10.There the problem is now fixed with a checkmark "Use Acronis Echo Naming convention". I don't know why they are always making the same mistakes. Even the GUI is getting worse and different in every version. I am longing for the old versions of acronis. Quick and clean....maybee we switch to paragon for the private sector. ACRONIS please stop changing the GUI every time and omit usefull features...

Here is a similar issue with some possible suggestions but it still a problem.
