Windows boot failed hyper-v

Thread needs solution

Hello acronis members,

I have a problem with starting my acronis backup. Let me tell from the beginning I want to upgrade my system to windows 8 so i have make a backup from my windows 7 system. I have the acronis backup convert to a vdk so i can run it in windows 8 hyper-v. I have installed windows 8 on my system and installed hyper-v. In hyper-v i have import the vdk file and start the virtual pc. I see windows 7 logo but when i see a blue screen with the follow error code 0x0000007b. I have try any repair solutions but no result. i have try chkdsk c: /r , repair option from the windows 7 installation disk.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

Thanks!

Normally a STOP ccode of 7B indicates a driver is missing or incorrect during Windows boot.

What is the text alongside the STOP number?

I have windows 8 installed as a VHD and 2013 with no problems, you mention a vdk file isn't that a VMWare format, which would mean you are missing a virtual driver.

OK this error means Windows cannot find the boot sector, I take it you mean that you converted the tib file to a VHD, yes?

Did you make a complete disk image or just a partition one?

If you boot into Windows 8 and then attach/mount the VHD file, is it successful and can you browse your Windows 7 OS?

Yes i have converted the tib file to VHD. I have make a complete disk image (reserved partition,c partition, d partition)

When i mount the tib file with acronis on my windows 8 system i can browse on my folders.
