Have you run out of disk space?

The drive has not run out of space. Scandisk was run with bad sector recovery and no problems found. The machine and external drive have been cold booted and the same problem continues.

Tom,

When you say,

Are you referring to checkdisk (chkdsk /r) ? I just want to check we are both talking about the same program.

If you enable hidden files and folders, is there anything in the TimeLine folder?

Are you using the Secure Zone as the NSB repository?

Today I ran scandisk. I ran chkdsk /r on the drive several weeks ago, so I don't suspect anything has gone bad since then. The time explorer directory contains the expected files with associated time/date stamps up until NSB stopped. Manually restarting NSB starts the process and the time/date stamps are updated until NSB errors out.

 Hello all,

Thank you for taking time to contact us.

Tom,

I've attached a file to this post.

1) Download and extract the file.

2) Stop Acronis Nonstop Backup service (Start -> Type services.msc -> make right-click on Acronis Nonstop Backup service -> Stop)

3) Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\CDP and rename the old afcdpsrv.exe file to, for example, afcdpsrv_1.exe

4) Copy the new afcdpsrv.exe file to the same C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\CDP directory.

5) Launch True Image Home 2013 again.

The issue should be resolved.

Thank you.

Oleg,

Thank you, but I had already downloaded and installed the driver on the machine in question. I found the driver in another post and have confirmed that the file you posted above is identical to the file I downloaded from the other post. It did nothing to resolve the issue. I'm in the process of putting debug information on the Acronis FTP site for Anton and will PM him once it's there.

Hello Tom,

I've got the files.

Could you please confirm that the below files were obtained simultaneously?

AcronisSystemReport Vista.22-Nov-2012.zip

debugview data Vista 28-Nov-2012.LOG
Thank you.

Both files were created at the same time. The debugview data Vista file shows the last modified date. I checked, and there are no previous versions available via nonstop backup, since it is not working.

 Hello Tom,

Thank you fir the response.

Is it possible to send us the entire archive so that we can reproduce the issue in our test lab?

Thank you.

I'm not sure what you mean by the entire archive. The cdp.metadata file is part of the Acronis system report which I uploaded. That had been sufficient in reproducing the other nonstop issues that the developers are working on.

 Hello Tom,

Thank you for the answer.

We've requested the entire archive, i.e. the entire content of Time Explorer Storage.

Are you able to send it to us? I will generate an FTP account.

Thank you.

Yes, I can provide the entire archive.  However, it's 38 GB, and my upload speed would be 1.3 MB/s at best.  This might not be a pragmatic approach to finding the problem and testing a fix.
