autopart crashes

Thread needs solution

hello !

on my pc i run an multiple boot environment with win7 64bit, win7 32bit and new a win 8 64bit

in then win7-6bit i run the Acronis 11 Suite - disk director 11 and true Image home 11

with the diskdirector i made some changes on partion sizes - everything worked ok - partions are resized as wanted

but now booting to my win7 64 bit ends up in an script error in an autopart procedure - file missing

for my understanding there are no open Tasks für Acronis because all changes are done perfect

reboot ends up in the same error - so win7-64bit is not bootable - all other os's on the pc work fine

thanks for help in work around that error during boot

regards Kurt

You may try solution from http://forum.acronis.com/forum/5773#comment-19112 ( ... it is resolved by manual removal of the AutoPart entry from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\bootexecute key. ) As the OS is not booting, you need to edit its registry offline - from another os. Search for "edit registry offline" for how to do it ( briefly - run regedit, load the unbootable OS' registry hive , edit, then unload it)

thank you !

I'm sure, that would have been the right way !!

meanwhile i solved my problem by restoring my win7 from a very fresh backup

once again: many thanks !
