[DUPLICATE] Clone option has major issues

Thread needs solution

I see almost everyone that has a cloning issue here is not answered in a way that answers anything, I bought this software specifically for cloning and it does not work, loses connection with the hard drive every time. This from drives that are in good working order to a SSD. I run a computer store and have to say "Fix your stuff" stop telling people to use the backup option instead of clone as some of us need the clone for specific reasons.

I'm sure Acronis will take your feedback and use it to improve their products. That said, no product is 100% effective or problem free in every situation or configuration. Sometimes it's a simple missed step or procedure that can keep any product from working as intended. If you would like more assistance, or want the MVP's to look more closely at the problem(s) you are experiencing, please post again with additional information.

It's amazing how often failures with the product are due to hard drive errors or connection issues, neither of which is the fault of Acronis. It's also all-too-common that users blame the product when it turns out that the product was not the problem.

I suggest that you run full hardware checks on your drives and improve the connections.

The cloning module works best when performed from the True Image Bootable media devices so that Windows is a non-factor.
