Made a backup of my clean system c: to a bootable DVD, but no DVD drive visible...

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I am just a new customer of True Image...now I immediately made a backup of my clean system of windows XP with all my software needed. This is how I want my system to be recovered in case something happens or I just want a new clean system without having to reinstall all of my programs again.
Now I made a backup of my c: volume and let TI2013 burn it to a bootable DVD ( have to mentionits a DVD-RW). Everything worked fine and wanted to test a complete system recovery. True Image started on boot event but I could not select my DVD drive where the backup file is. It does not show my DVD drive at all...anybody can help me out ?

Thank you !

Is the DVD device internal or external or how connected.

If the DVD booted into the Acronis Backup/Restore menu, you would need to choose the Restore option and then select the Browse for Backup option in order to see the dvd device and see the backup file.

One additional thing to check first.
From inside Windows, open the Windows Disk Management console graphical view.
Look at the display of partitions and confirm that you only have partition C. You may have other partitions (in addition to C) which need to be included in your backup if you want to be able to create a replacement disk.
