Resizing partition problem

Thread needs solution

My hard disk has 4 partitions. I wanted to enlarge one partition by taking space from others. My system specs: Windows 7 64bit, Acronis disk director 11 home version.
Here's what I did:
1. Resize partition 1: take 50 gb from it.
2. Resize partition 2: take 50 gb, too.
3. Enlarge partition 3: by taking the "unlocated space".

I performed the operation in Windows, not using the boot cd. After choosing "Commit pending operations", the computer restarted. There were 7 operations. Six have been performed successfully.

But the last operation has stucked like this in about 2hr.

What should I do? I haven't had my file backed up. Can I make the operation restart by restarting my Pc?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English.

If there were a lot of files in your Music partition and the operation required moving them, then it may take a while. I would wait longer. When it becomes obvious that the operation is not going to complete, then you have no choice but to restart the PC. Perhaps you'll get lucky and it will have completed first before hanging up.
