have a mystery task bar Aconis icon ?
I have an Acronis taskbar icon that appears once in awhile that I don't know what it's for. When it appears...my system crawls almost to a stop. There is nothing running in current tasks in windows task bar(1st window)...but if I close Acronis entries under current users (me) (second window) then the icon closes and my system returns to normal.
I do not use non-stop backup, sync, or any other 'extra' feratures of ATIH 2013...at least that I'm aware of ?
Is there a way to track down what this icon is ...why it's on in the taskbar...and how to disable whatever is launching it ?
Thanks...TiminAz

Sorry...assumed the Acronis icons were all the same...it's the same icon that shows when Acronis starts in Windows...or during a backup operation...as in jpg attached..except it's the icon only without any text...etc...has the little blue arrow circling around the icon

Well that is the imaging in progress icon, so the question is does anything show up in the log as starting and finishing quickly?
Do you have any tasks set?
You could try disabling the sync service in services.msc.
When the slow down happens what Acronis products are shown as running in Task Manager and is it your system slows down or only when looking at files in windows Explorer? Check that your firewall/AV software isn't trying to scan True Image when it starts.
Were you able to install with no problems? I'm just wondering if there was maybe there is something strange going on with your user instance.
You could also try a repair install of 2013 which may fix an entry that has become corrupted.

Disabled both sync and non-stop backup...(don't use anyway)
Will go thru your suggestions and post back if this keeps reoccurring .
