What is the best way to upgrade ATI 2009 to ATI 2010?
I am planning to upgrade my Vista to Windows 7, but ..... unfortunally (my recently bought) ATI 2009 does not support Windows 7 and therefor I want to buy the ATI 2010 and use the new version to make the final image of Vista (rollback in case of an emergency).
But, based upon all info given in this forum I am afraid to face a non working 2010. Therefor I would like to know first the best way to upgrade to ATI 2010:
Install on top of ATI 2009, or uninstall ATI 2009 first and do a clean ATI 2010 install?

Why upgrade to 2010?
I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64bit and ATI 2009 (build 9809). ATI 2009 installs and works great running in Windows 7. Backup images and data files work just fine as do the restores of same. I have also used the ATI 2009 bootable media (rescue CD) for both types of restores without issue. From my experience, there's no need to upgrade from ATI 2009 to 2010.

Thnx for your feedback, but I still have a few questions:
Info:
====
ATI 2009 (build 9633) is already installed on my Vista 32 bit pc. I have the original and bootable CD. So far, restore of Vista images worked fine (not a single error). I prefer to make (full) backups manually.
I do know about update 9809, but as far as I know the update is in english only. Because I use the dutch version I prefer a dutch update. But I don't know if a dutch upgrade is available (so far, I could not find it), or am I forced to change to the english user interface?
And do I have to create a new resue CD, or will the original CD still do the job after updating to 9809?
Ofcourse, I will make a final image of Vista after updating to the lastest ATI 2009 build.
In addition, I would like to know if I can install Windows 7 with ATI 2009 already installed, or do I need to remove it first and do a clean install in Windows 7.

You should download the most current build of ATI 2009 for your language. If there is a newer version than what you're using, it's good to create a new rescue CD for that build. Otherwise, keep the version you have (9633) as it should install/work fine with Windows 7. I've installed/used English builds 9709, 9796 and the newest build, 9809 in Windows 7 Professional 64-bit without any issues.
If you install Windows 7 clean, you do not need to remove ATI 2009 from your Vista install. Personally, I install new OS' clean. So, in my opinion it's best backup your data or create a backup image, format your drive, install the new OS, reinstall all of your applications and restore your data files.
