TIH doesn't work with KingSpec PCI-E SSD

Thread needs solution

I have a Windows 7 x64 system with TIH 2013 with Plus Pack.

I have several normal HD and a KingSpec PCI-Express 1TB SSD. I'm trying to backup and restore my disk onto the SSD but so far with no luck. The SSD doesn't user any drivers - it just work through the BIOS.

In Windows the SSD works fine and doesn't give any errors. I can format it. Tests don't give any errors.

However, using the TIH boot disk I am unable to get it to work with the SSD. I just keep getting write errors. When I try to clone my disk onto the SSD it just hangs up.

Is there anything I can do or do I just have to find some other backup software?

Thanks
Mark

Since you have the Plus Pack, create a WinPE based recovery CD and see if that version allows you to see the PCI SSD the right way for backup and restore operations. If not, you can in fact inject Windows drivers in the WinPE image and thereby create a customized WinPE bootable disk. It is a bit complicated to do but there is an excellent guide here: http://forum.acronis.com/forum/35238
