Acronis True Image to XP.

Thread needs solution

I used the versions 7.0 + 11.0 and decided now to 10.0 Build 4942.
First, I carefully uninstalled using the Windows software and use the special versions of Windows-Acronis-quencher.
Everything worked fine, but I can not do a complete restoration of the external hard drive or CD's to perform:
On the black background appears the usual "Loading, please wait ... 'indefinitely.
If I start with the Notdisk until I get to the version of choice, but a drive selection is not displayed.

Hi Reinrich,
I have similiar problem. I believe that the software does not support SATA drive. I'm still working on a solution.

Are you using the v10 Rescue CD?

Does the v11 CD work? If it does then it will be able to restore a V10 image.

Out of interest why have you gone back a version?

I'm using Acronis True Image 11 Home. The problem that I have is Acronis does not recognise the hard drive on the HP Compaq 6000 CMT. I've tried to change the SATA Emulation to IDE, but it did not help. Still doing the research.

Hello,
Thanks for the answer!
I now have the computer instead of using the rescue CD from version 10.0 starting with the CD version of 11.0.
There was the appearance of V11.0. I could immediately connect to the disk and perform a restore.
After the appearance of V10.0 was back.
I like V10.0 rather than V11.0. because it visually clearer and not so overloaded as V11.0.
Greetings from Munich.
Heinrich

Hello all,

Thi-Ut Csaszar and Heinrich Knoll, I have sent you a link via PM to an alternate bootable CD image based on ISOLINUX bootloader.

ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released.

ISOLINUX Bootable Media has several boot parameters that may help overcome possible issues with booting. You can also set a specific VGA resolution in the ISOLINUX media if there an issue with the Graphical User Interface (GUI).

Please reply to this thread if the issue still persists, I'll do my best to help you.

Thank you.
