Acronis and Boot Camp Partition
I'm using a Mac with Windows 8 Pro on an Boot Camp partition. I need this second system for business, because most of the software I need for that is running under Windows. So for me it is very important also to get regular a safe backup of the Windows partition.
I made very good experiences with Acronis on the office server system - it worked perfect in restoring the system as we had a critical crash a few times ago. But I read in several threats, that Acronis True Image would not work with Boot Camp Systems - because missing a regular bios. Is this true and also includes the new version 2013?
My second question: If a complete system restore by using a boot disk or stick (created with Acronis) would not be able after a crash of the Boot Camp system, maybe at least it would be possible to restore the data after a new system setup? If you will install Windows with Boot Camp again and then also will install Aconis True Image again, would it be possible, to restore the saved personal data from a former True-Image-backup? And maybe also the installed programs and preferences? Sure, that would not be the easiest way - but maybe nevertheless a possible and safe way?

Ray,
When you want to use the recovery CD, disable secure boot, disable UEFI boot and enable legacy boot,
When you want to use Windows 8, enable uEFI boot, enable secure boot.
Do not use the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager.
