question about local folder sync on my QNAP NAS
Hi folks, I am currently deciding on a backup solution for my home network and am exploring Acronis TI 2013 as well as Nova Backup 14. I installed the Acronis TI 2013 trial edition today and have basically been exploring its features. (Read: Completely new to Acronis)
I basically, have a QNAP TS 219P II setup as a network drive. I need to have certain folders on my computers sync with the NAS. Today, I setup a local network sync between my laptop and NAS through the network (no drive mapping). Acronis carries out the sync successfully. However, I was just wondering how did Acronis access the NAS in the first place? I don't have any other backups setup in Acronis so it has never asked me to to input any credentials so far. With NOVA Backup, you have the option of inputing the network credentials.
Before, I started the sync, I got access to the NAS folders in "Network" by logging in as admin. I also have this credential stored in Windows 7 Credential Manager. Does Acronis see this? I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate on a Dell Latitude E6500 Laptop.
I'm looking for a set and forget solution and I wanted to understand how the credential system works in Acronis. There should not be problems later once I start scheduling these syncs.
Thanks in advance!

Hey Colin, thanks for the input. I turned off Windows Credential Manager nd had to login with Acronis. Cheers!
