Bootable Media methods do not work
I purchased True Image 2013 just after Christmas and managed to install the software after a number of issues regarding the correct serial number to use - that issue has now been resolved.
Yesterday I wanted to create Bootable Media records in order to have a means of accessing the software in the event of a problem.
I used both a DVD and a memory stick to create two backup sources. When testing the backups both failed to run. When testing the DVD version all I could see was an Acronis splash screen with a lot of serial numbers. The computer then locked-up and beeped if a key was pressed.
I re-booted the system with the memory stick installed and obtained the same result - nothing!
Please explain what I may be doing wrong, and/or how can I resolve this problem and have working bootable files.

Thanks for that Pat, but I am a computer user not an expert. Could you just explain in simple terms what I need to do in order that I can use the Bootable media disk or memory stick should I encounter a problem starting the system. My PC is an HP Pavilion g6 running Win 7.
Many thanks for your time.

Hello Rick
I am not an expert either and it sounds like you have a Windows 7 machine. In my case, booting from the CD takes awhile to completely load. Have you tried waiting past the boot screen logo? I have been using Acronis for 8 years and every new release has many changes. I think the latest version is the slowest to date using the restore media.

Rick,
Boot the computer and immediately hit the F2 key repeatedly until you see the BIOS screens. Look for the boot options. Is UEFI enabled?
When booted into Windows, right click on the computer icon on your desktop, choose manage, storage, disk management. In the View menu, choose top, list disks.
Do you have GPT disk(s)?
