Online backup computer registration

Thread needs solution

I have my license of true image 2010. A have created account for online backup to test 2 GB trial storage. I have synchronized my data to online storage. I have reinstalled my laptop and now i cannot connect my existing computer in onlibe backup storage with true image. After log into by true image, my backup is not on the list, i can only register new computer for online backup. If i login to online backup storage through web, my backup is there. but through true Image is not visibile. How to solve it?

I think you've just hit the OLB snag.

If you have uninstalled TI or re-installed your OS the script file that TI uses to trace OLB will have been deleted.

So web access will be the only way.

What might be the easiest way to solve this is to make a new OLB folder, then change the contents of the task file to match the old OLB. Other than that I can only think of downloading the contents, deleting that online folder, make a new online folder and then make a new task.

Heh, strange. 2 days ago i have tried to create ne one with the same computer name like my first online not reachable backup, and it created another (second) online backup, so that was no solution. But i have deleted this new registration through ATI and now i tried again from the hotel to login from ATI to online backup and my correct first registrated online backup is to disposition (can select this current or created new). i have selected this current, put encryption key and tried to update online backup. Works.

I do not know, what has happend, but now it works like i expect. Do not know, has has changed in last 2 or several days, in that time it did not work, now it works.

Strange, but aloha, it works.

Now i use this 2 GB trial, if i purchase it, will be just extended my registration for more space (so my online backup will be there)? Or my online backup in this Trial account will gone?

It will use your current space, just extend the amount of space allowed.

Well Kurliana,

Perhaps you could check out the confusing account information that appears for beta testers. Beta testing has washed their hands and passed it onto customer support, who obviously are unable to appreciate the problem from a testing point of view, or that if the account information and Cleverbridge are out of wack this might impinge upon actual paying customers..

Case number 00414457 25/11/2009.

Well my data is still available, though not via TI itself, which is not the problem.

Pray tell how am I to beta test your new OLB facility properly (beta test starting 23 November 2009), if I only have partial access to test it?

I think the left hand department haven't quite thought through the right hands departments implementation.

Thanks for your reply,

That also explains the current Internal Server error I've been getting.

However, and I appreciate this is not your department, Sales or the Webpage maker or Cleverbridge need to check the information that is appearing in the user accounts and what happens when the 'proceed' button is clicked, which is the gist of my support number above.

If it isn't remedied, then Acronis will have shot themselves in the foot, and might get an explosion of angry personages ranting away - something that could be easily avoided.
