Fitted new BIOS chip, now I have "too many activations"

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

I fitted a new BIOS chip this morning on the instructions of my new PC manufacturer to see if a new one would solve a problem I have with a two month old pc. Since the chip was fitted an hour ago, I now get a message on my screen saying too many activations of my Acronis 2013 program.

I'm guessing it see's the new BIOS chip as a new pc.

I haven't taken the option yet to remove the activation from my 'old' pc yet as I bet it would say cannot add a pc that has been removed! even though its the same PC!!

Can anyone point me in the right direction for what I should do to solve the activation issue please?

Thank you in advance

You will need to select the move activation option from the link that appears on the activation form.

where can I find the form to move an activation? My system crashed and I ended up putting a new motherboard in my system and I am trying to restore from an acronis backup.

When you re-install 2013 or the program starts in Windows you will get an activation pop up form or a message about too many activations, the move option is on that form or after clicking on the link shown in the message. If it doesn't pop up, you should still be activated.

This won't affect recovery of your system using the recovery CD>
