NT4.0 Workstation

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I need to virtualise a very old desktop PC running Windows NT4.0 workstation. Is there an Acronis product available which will allow me to make an image of the PC's hard drive with a view to using that image in VMWare?

According to http://dl.acronis.com/u/pdf/TrueImageWorkstation9.1_ug.en.pdf - True Image 9.1 supports NT 4.0 and has Universal Restore feature. However http://kb.acronis.com/content/1823 states that UR doesn't support NT 4.0, and True Image 9.1 is mentioned there, so it's not unsupported because it's old - it was not supported in 9.1 too. Without Universal Restore, you can use any product which can boot on the old hardware (keep in mind RAM requirements for bootable media of about 512 mb) and restore it to a new virtual machine, but you will have to solve any problems with missing drivers on your own, may be with some third-party (vmware?) software.
