Universal restore option not appearing

Thread needs solution

Just prepping to move my system....

I purchased the plus pack to use universal restore....when I tried it last, about a month ago...during restore the "use universal restore" option never appeared.

I am using licensed products and did activate the plus pack....I tried creating the bootable media 3 times...but each time the option never appeared....so instead I did a clean install

Now that motherboard is having issues and I am swapping it again...

Is there something that would prevent the universal restore option from being installed into the bootable recovery media?

Thanks

I don't think so. In theory, Universal Restore appears when ATI detects that there is an OS in the image (I am guessing it looks for some flags for some partitions).

Universal Restore also only shows up when restoring whole disks or partitions. If you have a full disk backup and are not seeing the option to use Universal Restore, you should take a look at this KB article: Kb.acronis.com/content/1823

When starting the Rescue Media, your copy should state Plus Pack on the Acronis splash screen before the program starts up.

thanks for the replies...

the splash screen was showing, I will look into the KB article...although I dont think I am under any of these causes....

I was hoping there was a little trick I was missing....but might not be that easy
