Error when Adding drivers in bootable media builder with Universal Restore

Thread needs solution

I am attempting to add manufacturer approved driver suite to my universal restore and getting error for 'missing file' on many of them.

I am wondering, is there an issue with the UR tool recognizing non 64bit drivers? as there is a mix of 64bit and 32 bit files in this repository. When I check within the folder structure for the files that are being complained of, I see that the 'missing' files exists inside of an (x86) subfolder within the driver.

I would really like to include these drivers if possible as they are related to the USB 3.0 low level hardware and graphics card. It's possible that they are redundant, but as this machine uses USB2.0 and 3.0 for all periferals it seems risky to do without them.

the 'default' settings for all bootable media builder settings prior to the point where I add drivers.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello Elaine,

Thank you for posting this issue in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

Please be aware to unpack the drivers before adding them to the bootable media. Also remind, that this drivers are not used for booting the machine. You also can define the drivers for the Acronis Universal Restore operation during defining the recovery task in Acronis Bootable Media. See Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5: Restoring to Dissimilar Hardware with Universal Restore for more information.

When using a multi-drivers, you should use only one version, in your case the driver files from x86 folder. Ensure, that the necessary .inf file is included to this folder when adding it.

If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.
