TIH 2013 Create Bootable Media

Thread needs solution

OpSys = Win 7.

I am trying to create a bootable media to CD using TIH 2013 build 5551. I follow the prompts to the point it prompts for CD or ISO. I choose CD. Then, on next display I press "PROCEED". It then displays "Please open CD Drive". I open the CD drive, place a blank, unformatted CD in. I then press RETRY. Nothing happens.

I have tried getting to this point, then closing the CD drive before "Retry". Same msg appears.

No CD burning software installed other than Win 7 capabilities.

What am I doing wrong? It seems there's several issues in the forum about this, but I haven't found any solutions yet.

I am a long-time user of Acronis products on XP platform (both TIH and Disk Director) and they worked flawlessly. Am yearning for old version stability!

Two options.
1. Assuming this is a laptop, put the blank CD in and close the door and just respond to the prompts.2
or
2. Choose the create iso option.
3. After the iso is created, then

with a blank CD in the tray and tray closed.
RIGHT click on the new iso file and choose
OPEN WITH
and select the option which read
Windows Disk image burner.
This option will create the same bootable CD as method 1.
