Does Acronis True Image Home 2012 work with Steganos Safe 2012?

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm using Steganos-Safe 2012 for encrypted data and while working with the pc I usually have one or more safe files open. Now I would like to make a drive backup of the device on which the file is stored.
OS is Windows 7 64 bit

My question is:
Is it secure to use Acronis 2012 for complete drive backups, although a Steganos-Safe file is open and mapped as a single drive?
Or do I have to close all Steganos-Safe files, so the backup can handle the data as same as every other file?

Thanks for help

Kind Regards

mup

An Acronis True Image (ATI) *file* backup will probably choke on the open vaults, but I am not sure.

An ATI disk and partition backup will be fine. Any changes to the open vaults done after you trigger the backup will not be saved to the backup.

If you have an entire partition encrypted, it can be backed up when opened in Windows. The backup data can be encrypted, since the archive can be secured with encryption technology, but when you restore the partition, it will be unencrypted (since it was its status when you backed it up).
