Use boot USB as destination for clone backup
Can I use the bootable usb drive as the destination for the clone disk backup? I'm using a Win7 Tablet (Asus EP121).
Thanks

Ok, so I guess what I'm asking is can I store a clone (image & recovery) on a usb stick so I can just boot from that usb stick and restore the image if needed?
Thanks

In theory, you could select your flash drive as the backup destination and make this destination bootable.
You can also manually prepare your flash drive to partition it into a bootable partition and a partition to store your backups.
Practically, flash drives are still relatively small in capacity, and you don't want to create backups and then move them manually somewhere else.
Normally though, users create a bootable medium (CD, DVD, USB flash drive) to run ATI out of Windows, and then store their backups on a USB disk or LAN share.

Thanks, if I have the boot medium and the backup on the same disk, they will be together. I'm going to be migrating to Win8 on my Win7 tablet and want to have the option to restore Win7 as it is now back to the tablet if necessary.
