Acronis True Image Home 11.0 does not detect dynamic 500GB volume.
I am running XP Pro SP III & Acronis does not detect my recently installed 500GB drive that I bought especially for back up purposes. Windows has correctly detected & initialized drive & I do not know of any conflicting software. Any pointers or should I look elsewhere for a backup solution?

Thanks. SeaTools for DOS gives good bill of health, I suspect SeaTools for Windows also does not support dynamic volumes as fails in first second of long drive self test. Even stranger SMART is supported but not enabled till I ran self test under DOS.
I'll convert volume to basic as dynamic seems to be geared up for RAID as far as I can tell.

Hi
The disk turned out to be faulty in the end & as Dev-anon posted, dynamic volumes are not supported under Acronis True Image 11 Home.
Thanks
