Issue with Job Status

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I am now testing Acronis backup & recovery 11.5 SBS edition. When I am backing up to a network location or second drive - the software is running fine. But when I am uploading the backup to a second location (in my case FTP) the jobs shows 5 or 20% percent completed and that's it. It is still uploading files, and following the schedule, but I cannot see the correct status.

The machine is running SBS 2008.

Thank you,

Daniel

Hell Daniel Marinov,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

The FTP protocol is a common, but old and slow transfer protocol. Also it does not support files larger than 2GB. As a result the backup will be splitted into several pieces. The status update has a low priority during the backup. As a result, the status is not updated when the system is busy. This behavior is as expected and does not mean that anything goes wrong. The display of 20% means that the snapshot itself is complete, and the backup is now written.

If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.

As I understand, you are using the feature 'replicate archives to the second location', not a separate backup plan that backs up this data to ftp. In this case, lack of progress for replication activity seems to be a bug in initial release of 11.5 . It seems to be fixed in the Update 1 (that is not released yet).
