ABR11: Backup Task not executed when machine was switched off at scheduled time

Thread needs solution

I created a backup plan which performs a 2-hourly incrementell and a weekly differentiell backup.

For the weekly backup, I chose the option to execute the task after next boot if the machine was switched off at the scheduled time. Unfortunately, that doesn't work.

I noticed the following:
After each start of the machine I get the message "Acronis Managed Machine Service unavailable" for a while. Also, I can't start ABR11 during this time.
I assume that this fact prevents the backup task.

How can I speed up Acronis Managed Machine Service?
How can I delay the automatic execution of the task?
Any other idea?

Thanks,
Axel

Hello Axel,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

The message described comes from Acronis Tray Monitor. This process is started before the Acronis Managed Machine service is started. As a result it shows the message, that the Acronis Managed Machine service is not available.

The startup of this service needs more time and is fast as the operating system allows to startup. When the option Skip the task execution is not set, the backup plan should start after the complete startup of the Acronis Managed Machine service.

To delay the task start, modify the setting: Task start Condition -> Wait until the conditions are met -> Run the task anyway after 15 minutes.

If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.
