Unable to access Iomega Ix4-200d Drive with Boot Recovery To Restore Image
Hello,
I'm somewhat in the dark on an issue I'm unable to resolve myself. I recently purchased Acronis True Image 2013. I have an Iomega ix4-200d NAS Drive. I did a full backup of my primary system to the NAS. I then created a a recovery bootable media usb stick. Upon booting and testing the recovery media for a system restore I am not able to see my NAS Drive or the System Image.
I hope, I don't see anywhere an authentication option for recovery in the Bootable Media Recovery. Please assist!
Thanks!
Jason

Thanks for your reply,
Is there suppose to be a Network Adaptor listed in the driver menu within the Media Recovery before I got a head with this? I haven't, just a thought if there's something I'm missing more on my part.

Hello,
Unfortunately the suggestion didn't resolve the issue. Oh boy, I'm at a loss with this one, I hope this software package lives up to its name, "productivity" for all of us means everything down time does not.
Any other support or steps Tuttle? I appreciate your help Tuttle.

Jason,
Is it just with the recovery CD that you don't see the NAs or is it the same from True Image within Windows?
If it also happens in Windows, are you able to see it in windows Explorer?

Hi Colin,
Yes, It's just when I'm in the Recovery CD that I do not see the NAS. I do see the NAS when I'm within Windows 8.

I suspect then that it is a driver issue within the Linux kernel. I'm not sure if any of the standard optional parameters that can be entered when booting from the CD will work.
Either way, I suggest raising a support request with Acronis, as this is a recovery problem support is free.
I don't have the 2013 user guide in front of me, but look for the parameter that forces the kernel to use the PC BIOS instead of using drivers.
