Switching backup hard drives

Hello, I use Acronis to backup my small business's computer. I want to be able to switch between two external drives without having to redirect the backup location in the program everytime. Is this possible? I was told it was when I purchased it. But for some reason they cannot get it to backup consistently. I am using two identical 500gb harddrives and plugging them into the same port.
