Windows 8 update 8 April . Acronis is unable to recover file image
after the update of April 8 Windows 8, the PC will not boot.
Acronis Recovery is recharged from the PC version or from the CD, but then gets stuck in black screen as if it does not find more hard disks.
So I can not restore the image file.
looks like it could be the reason for the change of ntfs.sys new windows released in April.
How can I restore the computer if acronis does not work anymore either PC or from CD?

I need restore the file image.
At reboot:
1- Starting Acronis loader....
2- Start the first window and I can select Trueimage.
3- Start the second window and after 20 seconds appear the black windows , the compiuter remain freezed in black.
----------------------------
I use the pc utiity of recovery
the CD 16.0 Build 6514
the CD 16.0 Build 5551
the same thing in all 3 case.
----------------------------------
After the windows update of 8 april Acronis don't see the hard disks
moreover at start of PC windows begin the automatic recovery and continually at startup begin the automatic recovery
for this I need restore the file image .

Anton,
Are you able to access the BIOS or UEFI and try changing the AHCI and disk options to legacy and see if that makes a difference, also try disabling Secure Boot if it is enabled.
It seems odd that an update to Windows 8 would stop the Linux environment from working, unless you ahve a UEFI system and that was updated as well somehow.
Are you positive that even though you have inserted the recovery CD that the system is booting from the CD and not perhpas seeing something like the Acronis Recovery Manager and is booting that Linux copy from your hard drive?

Tanks Colin
I had formatted the sistem disk, I had istalled windows 8 . Now the computer start. But the problem remain, Acronis don't work.
In my bios I can't find AHCI and disk options to legacy , so I can't find Secure Boot

Anton,
If your PC didn't come with W8 originally and is not from someone like Dell or Lenovo etc, you won't have a Secure Boot entry.
Is it just the Acronis recovery CD that won't work or the Windows version as well?
Is it still the same problemw ith the recovery CD?

neither Acronis recovery CD neither Windows version work more.
Before 8 april were all ok, I can't understand I'd format the disk and make a new installation of windows 8

I'm not able to find UEFI on BIOS than is possible that : Acronis trueimage 2013 in not compatible for Windows 8 ?

Anton,
No, 2013 is compatible with W8 (I have it running on a W8 Pro 64bit system), so that isn't where the problem lies.
Just so that I am sure.
1. You are able to install 2013 onto your W8 system, but it won't run.
2. The recovery CD won't boot your system.
From within Windows.
When you click on the shortcut, what exactly happens, does W8 return to the traditional desktop and 2013 starts to run?
What Acronis services are running (press the Windows Button + 'x' and then select Services) ?
What Acronis entries are ticked in MSConfig?
What UAC level do you have your Windows 8 set to?
As you are running the Enterprise version of W8, does it have any corporate user or software policies set up that might prevent certain programs from running?
Is your firewall or AV software blocking 2013 from running?
If you uninstall build 6514 and reinstall 5551, does the Windows version start running again?
